PLOT:

James Pleiades "Jim" Hawkins receives a mysterious map from dying Billy Bones & discovers it leads to Treasure Planet. Aboard the RLS Legacy, a Navy Heavy Scout, Jim befriends cyborg John Silver, who later reveals himself to be a space pirate. They finally find "the loot of a thousand worlds" , but find out that Captain Nathaniel Flint, before his death, set up a booby trap, causing Treasure Planet to explode to smithereens. Jim is then accepted to the Interstellar Academy.
