Know1ng: TV Series

Okay, strictly speaking, there is no plan to make this television series-yet. But don't you remember those numbers that Caleb was writing down just before John stopped him? Well, IMDb thinks that they are "presumably, a separate code of events for the new world." They could be right. Here's an idea of what the series might be like:

POSSIBLE PLOT:

Caleb Koestler & Abby Wayland arrive at the cloud-mountains, the homes of the whisper-people. They both have oodles of questions for them. The leader, named Ralph (I couldn't think of any other name!), has answers to almost all of them. One question that Caleb wants to know is why he wanted him to write down the new world code of events. Caleb pulls the 2nd list, now completed, out of his pants pocket. Ralph explains why he made him write it. Sometime later, a villain known as Ragnar (same thing as with Ralph), who wants to take over the planet by building an extremely powerful empire. It's up to Caleb, Abby, the whisper-people, & the other chosen children to put an end to his murderous empire-to-be. Oh, and, BTW, the children grow up throughout the series.

Pretty great, huh? Also, the spirits of John & Dianna may appear in the series as well. Just to let you all know.

Treasure Planet Sequel and TV Series

We all know that Jim Hawkins was promoted to the Interstellar Academy... but what happens while he's there? Well, before Treasure Planet soared into cinemas, Thomas Schumacher, the president of Walt Disney Feature Animation, mentioned the possibilities of having direct-to-video releases for Treasure Planet, as well as a TV series. He simply stated:

We already have a story, some storyboards, concepts up, and a script for what a
sequel to [Treasure Planet] could be, and we also have a "notion" of what the
series would be.

Hhhmmm... perhaps he means that they're going to do a film adaptation of Treasure Planet: Battle at Procyon. If what I said is true, I hope they change the name to Treasure Planet: Battle of the Procyons, since no battle actually takes place at Procyon (except in the skirmish of the game), as noted in the game credits. If not, well, it can be a 3 part movie series with a TV series. Until it's greenlit that this can be true, only the future can tell us.

Watership Down Reboot

Watership Down is a rumored upcoming live-action/CGI reboot of the 1978 traditionally-animated film of the same name. An estimated release date is sometime between 2012-2015. The screenplay, with an all-star cast, is rumored to be in the works and will be completed by the end of 2010. If the screenplay is put into production, it will join the 1978 film & the 1999-2001 TV series of the same name. Possible rumored cast members include Huge Jackman, Clive Owen, Alan Rickman, & Ray Winstone.
Oh, I'm terribly sorry, people! I just found out that all this is false! Well, maybe, just maybe, someday this will become a great film. I hope.

I know, I know, I'm going back and forth on this subject here. But I just found out that they're bringing back the idea & turning it into reality (HOPEFULLY!).

Richard Adams's Watership Down (1978)

Richard Adams's Watership Down is a 1978 traditionally-animated film that's based on Richard Adams's novel of the same name. It was written, produced, & directed by Martin Rosen (with John Hubley being the 2nd director). It stars the voices of John Hurt (Hazel), Richard Briers (Fiver), Michael Graham Cox (Bigwig), Simon Cadell (Blackberry), Harry Andrews (General Woundwort), & Zero Mostel (Kehaar). This film has been rated PG for depictions of animal violence and gore (MPAA/USA), PG (Canadian English), G (Canadian French). I would give this movie 077% of a star.

THOUGHTS:

I think this is a good movie to watch, because it really grips the plot of the book like a pro.

WARNING!:

This film is EXTREMELY violent & has a LOT of blood & gore in it, so if you have children under the age of 9 or 10, be ready to cover their eyes during the scary parts, & I mean it!!! Because nowadays, it's rating would be PG-13 (for sequences of animal violence including bloody images and disturbing content).

Treasure Planet: An IMAX Experience (2002)

Treasure Planet: An IMAX Experience is a 2002 traditionally-animated/CGI science-fiction adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. The film was co-written, co-produced, & directed by Ron Clements & John Musker. It stars the voices of Joseph Gordon-Levitt (15-year-old Jim Hawkins), Brian Murray (John Silver), David Hyde Pierce (Dr. Delbert Doppler), Martin Short (B.E.N.), & Emma Thompson (Captain Amelia). This film has been rated (MPAA/USA [No. 39135]) PG for adventure action and peril, G (Canadian English), and G (Canadian French). I would give this movie 087% of a star.
